How to Setup Amazon JSON Templates in StoreAutomator

AMAZON JSON TEMPLATE SETUP

With the integration of the JSON format of Amazon template into StoreAutomator, users can now select Amazon specification types before creating templates. The templates for Amazon JSON have been designed to accommodate a wide range of product types that offer unique fields and provide an expanded field set to map.

Creating Amazon JSON templates follows a process similar to the other channel templates in StoreAutomator. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to “Settings>Templates”
  2. Click “Add Template” from the top right corner
  3. Find and click the Amazon channel icon.
  4. Choose the “JSON” spec
  5. Start selecting the categories from the Available Categories list. In that way, you can combine all categories within one template.
  6. Give a name to the template
  7. Click the create button.

Field Mapping

Find the template and click the edit icon.

Click on the Add Field button

Start mapping the necessary and required fields.

Note: Some fields are valid for all of the types that have been selected from the available categories. Some fields are specific to the specific categories which you can see from the target field name. Those fields may be applicable for some other categories which you can combine them when you select the field.

For example:

Product.DescriptionData.brand.value: This field is used for all of the categories and will be directed to the field mapping.

As it is seen, all fields that are common can be merged for all product types if they are also available for other categories that were added to the template. By doing that, the mapped field will be sent for all categories or the selected categories.

After completing the field mapping within the template, you can assign the template and the item specific category from the channel> mapping> template.
