Connecting Your Mirakl (Macy’s) Account

Product Data Templates

After setting up your Macy’s account on StoreAutomator, you can start to create your product data templates. These templates vary by category, each with its own requirements and valid values. Download and create each category template.

Category Mapping

Once you’ve completed the templates, map the “categoryCode” field to the appropriate category in StoreAutomator. This eliminates the need for mapping local categories in the “Category Mapping” section of SA.

Template Settings

  • Navigate to Channel Settings > Mirakl Settings.
  • In the “Product Category Source For Flat File” dropdown, select “Use the category on the template”. This will set your product's category on Macy’s.

Drag and drop local categories to their corresponding template under: “Channel>Mappings>Templates”.




Creating Offer Templates

When the product data template and template mapping is completed, you need to create offer templates and assign them to the channel.

Enabling Channel Main Sync and Update Types

Next you need to enable the channel main sync and update types. Navigate to “Channel>Channel Settings>Common” to send any feed to the remote channel. 

If you don’t see some of the switches and settings on your channel settings page, please contact support@storeautomator.com so that we can enable these settings for you.

Enable/Disable Inventory Update

When all templates, template mappings and channel settings are ready, you are ready to push the product data and publish the listings on Macy’s.

Check the products status in StoreAutomator for the Macy’s channel, if they are in “Published” status and have four green boxes in the Status tab. Assuming so then you can then send quantity or price updates and sync the channel.



Key Considerations:

  • Product Review Process: Even after sending product data updates and creating products on Macy’s, offers can only be added post-review by Macy's catalog team, usually within 24-48 hours.
  • Template Mapping Completion: Ensure template mapping is complete before adding products to the channel. Incomplete mapping can prevent product creation on Macy's.
  • Validating Template Fields: Check required fields in the downloaded Excel file before creating templates. These requirements may vary across templates.
  • Category Value Consistency: Use valid category values specific to each template. Since categories are sent through templates, there's no need for mapping local categories to Macy’s categories.
  • Offer Template Usage: You don’t need separate updates for quantity and price. Both are included in the same offer template.
