Override Product Pricing On A Channel Level

Override the pricing of your products depending on the marketplace you sell.

Overriding Product Pricing Data

Channel > Channel Products > Select the Item > Edit > General > Pricing tab.

1. To edit the pricing structure of this specific product (on this specific channel), the ‘General’ tab will need to be selected:

After accessing the General tab, an additional row of tabs will appear. To edit pricing information, the ‘Pricing’ tab needs to be selected:

By default, details are shown (such as Price Factor, Price, Sale Price, etc) will reflect the inventory data. But, this data can be overridden to suit this specific channel by clicking the button with the word ‘Inherited’.

The price represents the regular price for this product. An example of when someone might list the regular price differently between channels: If producing the product in the UK and selling it to people in Germany with free shipping and different tax rates, the cost to sell that product will likely be higher in Germany than in the UK. The difference in costs when selling this product will most likely translate to a difference in the regular price of the product in each location:

Sales Price typically represents a temporary price decrease in the product. An example of when someone may need to override this information: If they had set up a global sale for the product, but due to low response in a single channel, decided to try a slightly larger discount in the low performing channel

A little lower is MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price). This field can be used to override the global MSRP for this product:

Under MSRP is the MAP (Minimum Advertised Price). This field is used to override the global Minimum Advertised Price for this product:

Min. Price is the absolute minimum price this product can be sold for when repricing. This field can be used to override the global Min. Price:

Max Price is the maximum price this product can be sold for when repricing. This field is used to override the global Max Price for this product:

The last field on this page is labeled Taxes and can be used to override the globally assigned tax class for this product:

Once the necessary edits to the Pricing tab have been made, ‘Save & Edit’ should be clicked before continuing.
